    Old English mahogany screen door

    I posted a review of this door in 2019, immediately after receiving and installing it. Now, after three years of unshaded Kentucky summer sun and freezing winters, the door is as good as new. It remains solid and strong, it has not sagged the lightest amount. I have never seen a wooden screen door hold up so well. And it still looks awesome.

    The new screen doors were fantastic quality replacements for our porch. The communication, on time delivery, and final product provided by the Montana Screen Doors - particularly by Wade Mobley - was first rate.

    Mahogany “Old English“ screen door

    I am very impressed with quality of this door and the beauty of the mahogany. It feels very sturdy. It was precisely built to my exact specification, and fortunately, my measurements were accurately so the door fit perfectly. No need for additional planing or trimming. I added a mahogany stain to deepen the color and finished it with glossy Total Boat Marine Spar Varnish. It’s stunningly beautiful. It’s a lot to pay for a simple wooden screen door, but this is not your Lowe’s or Home Depot door. We’ll know in a few years how it holds up. September 3, 2019.
