Warranty

Montana Screen Doors LLC’s hardwood doors are shipped unfinished and require proper storage, finishing, and installation within 15 days of receipt. Failure to comply in accordance with the instructions provided (see below and Finishing Instructions) voids this warranty.

Materials & Workmanship

The Company warrants that the wood components of its doors shall be free of manufacturing defects (warping and joint failure) in material or workmanship that significantly impair their proper operation and function for 1 (one) year from the date of receipt by the customer or its authorized agent. Please note that misuse is a separate issue that can damage your door’s structural integrity and will void this warranty. Should the warranted wood screen door be found to contain defects in materials or workmanship before modification, finishing, or installing the door opening within 15 days from the date received, the Company will, at its option: (1) repair or replace defects, material or workmanship that significantly impairs the proper operation and function (cost of labor being excluded) within ninety (90) days of the date received by the customer, return shipping is prepaid by the customer, or (2) refund the original purchase price of the door and/or hardware.

Panel-Specific Warranty

Wood panels are warranted as a separate component. If damage occurs within 1 (one) year of your date of purchase, we respectfully ask that you submit proof of purchase and photos to us (See Claim Procedure below). We will evaluate the damage and determine if our finishing recommendations have been followed. If we can determine the panel was finished and reinstalled into the door properly, we will repair or replace the damaged panel. However, if we determine your panel was not finished in a timely fashion (within 15 days of receipt), or not finished according to our recommendations (See Finishing Your Door), we will contact you with the following options at our discretion: (1) Repair the panel to the best of our ability and charge you for the repair and return freight, (2) Replace the damaged panel at a cost of $100, plus return freight.

Wood’s Natural Aging Process

It is important to note that wood is a natural resource that will age naturally. With that said, it is completely normal for wood to experience variations in grain, color, texture, and undergo warpage up to 3/32”. These conditions can occur more quickly if your door is stored in extreme environmental conditions such as intense direct sunlight or exposure to frequent salt spray. In conclusion, these are all natural circumstances that can change the appearance of your door overtime; therefore, these changes are not covered under warranty.

No Assignment

The Company extends this warranty to only the original purchaser(s) of the door and cannot be transferred or assigned. This warranty will be voided if it is transferred or assigned to anyone else.
